Caritas Christi was
founded in 1938 by the Sisters of Charity to provide nursing care for thirteen patients;
today we care for 60 patients across 2 campuses. Caritas Christi Hospice is a public hospital, funded by the Health Department Victoria, that aims to provide optimal nursing and medical care, in an atmosphere of Christian love and compassion. We operate according to the values of the Sisters of Charity, Australia . |
||
| A hospice, sometimes known as a palliative care unit, is a place where specially trained
staff care for people with life-threatening illnesses in a home-like environment with
hospital-like facilities and resources. You may go into a hospice to have difficult symptoms bought under control and to improve your quality of life. Everything is done to make your stay as comfortable as possible. |
|||
We are dedicated to providing the best possible health care,
drawing on the talents and creativity of our people and others who share our vision.
